Perhaps one of the Alpkit seatpack options designed specifically for dropper posts?

Or maybe just a straight post for when you're bikepacking? I know I'd end up dropping the post/seatpack right into the rear wheel by accident if I was using a dropper.

Pretty pleased with how it's turned out! Just need to get it back together now but the weather has been too good to pass up mountain biking!

So I can't get the front mech to lift into the big ring?
Crank alignment?
Q-ring too big (53t which I think is 55t at big point)?Any ideas?

Chain too short?

Front mech down a touch? Should be a couple mm between the mech cage and the top of the ring teeth.
Doubt this will help. I hate front mechs. -

I hate front mechs
When they don’t work straight away they are such a pain in the ass!
Is the shifter pulling the cable far enough to get the chain onto the big ring?
If you pull the cable yourself from underneath the downtube does the derailleur travel further, and manage to shift successfully? If so it could be a combination of fiddling with the limit screws and cable tension. It needs to be just right... also check what Phil says about making sure the derailleur is at the right height and angle (so it sits parallel to the rings)

Chain doesn’t look too short to me.. and I’m pretty sure a road front der. should be able to handle a 55t front ring, but worth checking if you continue to have problems

Front derailleur only just clears the big side of the Q-Rings by microns at the position it's in now. I can just about get the front derailleur shifting after a regrease of bb and tightening the bejaysus out of it to pull it inboard a bit further but rear derailleur is acting the bollocks now too?

Is your front mech hanger straight/non-bent? And the rear one too for that matter.

Band on front mech I think.
CSB - I’ve been straightening my rear mech hangers recently and it’s done wonders for setting up good shifting :)

Yep front is band on.
The irritating thing is that it was set up and shifting great before the repaint and the only thing that's changed is the cranks and chainrings.

Gearing resolved. Chain was too long and some artful setup work from LBS pal took care of the rest. All I need to do now is wrap the bars and swap the seatpost and it's done. Have just ordered an aesthetically sympathetic bidon to compliment paint and once that arrives I'll try (and likely fail) at some nice photos.

Thoughts on build so far:
Gravel Kings are crazy skiddy. Two wheel drifted through a bend behind an unexpected braker earlier which was super fun but also mildly terrifying. Have been making a habit of licking up both tyres on descents... is it just me? Obvs brakes are mega to be having this problem...
Having some trouble getting gears dialled... every time I think they're sweet I go out for a run and three shifts later I can't get into the big ring or rear derailleur is crunching :(
Fit is lush though. Can be super tukt and spinning hard on big gears in the drops which I never felt was comfortable before so pretty pleased there! Every position just feels super nice!

is it just me?
No, me too! Real skiddy. And someone else in the 650b thread (can't remember who and on mobile so too much effort to check). Apparently they're very pressure dependent. I'm going to lower mine (on about 60/65 atm, ~80+~12kg, 32mm×700c).
I was thinking this would do the trick as a back up plan or maybe a sock with the toes cut out?
