Well the Fanini is back from having the headset fitted with the wheels bars and saddle and chainset on, its looking really lush. I really wish I enjoyed the discipline or had the zen like state to fit Campag Brifters, but in a one bed flat with no opening windows in this heat, I have opted to nip out for breakfast after a cold shower instead. I hate fitting brifters at the best of times... Next pictures hopefully later today will be of the finished bike. I wish it would piss it down.
31°C indoors at the mo. Update... Much as it grieves me will have to finish this another day. It's now 33°C in the flat and finding it really hard to concentrate. Maybe tonight if it cools down slightly. Sick to death of this weather.

Threw some bits on a Ron Cooper frame I’ve had in the shed for ages.

Really like the look of it, so have decided to give it the love and attention it deserves.

Well here's a quick picture, I finished it as it was a task I'd set myself for Sunday! Too hot though! The rear brake housing is a little short, that's not concentrating, but it's perfectly fine for normal use not requiring 90° turns! I'll address this. The rear derailleur cage catches the spokes in first gear, It's run out of limit screw which seems to have a void of thin air and nothing to tighten against. Trying to work out whether the dropout is bent or the derailleur cage has had a knock at some point. The rest of the gears index just fine. Delighted overall though. Apparently the pantograph stays "Fanini CX" refers to coefficient of drag... nice!

Went out for a spin tonight, not as responsive as the Colnago Tecnos but really comfy, and given the rarity, this is the one I'll keep as it's just so different. Revisited the gears, all sweet as a nut now. I like this.

Haha good spot! and cheers, I was playing round with that yesterday ironically while I had a coffee and it was off the bike - consider it adjusted!

Yay, Ron!

That's a beauty. I love my Ron Cooper. Ultimately the Cooper is staying as a do it all bike, I love the Tecnos but theres something more practical about the Ron Cooper, he was an amazing frame builder.

Addictions, got a sewing machine.
