If they're stock BB and work for you, then just replace them with another stock BB.
Make sure it's torqued to 30Nm, NOT 40Nm.

As mentioned brompton changed from iso to jis.
But any square taper of the right length will suit.

Just realised they've added a slew of new Brompton Bike Hire lockers all over London. Just a couple of months ago there were only three.

Are you sure? I stopped using it last October, when I bought a Brompton, but there were quite a few docks in London then, and just had a quick look at the website and it doesn't look like they've added any more.

You will need to iso or jis to Match

Really? I joined the scheme two months ago or so and it only showed Turnham Green, King's Cross and Canary Wharf? Might be it was me using your website badly

The only thing stopping me putting my S75s on my Brompton is being too bloody lazy to count the teeth on my chainring...

shocking form, a 6 speed?!
-

There’s docks in Peckham, Archway, Croydon and some others I think.

Sugino 75's have their own proprietary bb, different taper to iso and jis, will work with either but won't be an exact fit.
The best square taper bb you can buy is an SKF but if you want to stick with the 75's I'd get a matching Sugino BB, they have an option with sealed bearings now I think.

I need to order some more bikes for the store...
Give me some ideas?
You can see what we currently have here... https://www.sjscycles.co.uk/brompton-folding-bikes/
Will be getting an S1E to show off the cheapest / lightest (without going superlight) - but what colour?!
-
• #4365
S2L in all the nice finishes - raw, nickel etc
That powder pink colour is very popular with Mrs 5k

Now that is a statement about SKF bottom brackets. I believe that skf construction is all stainless steel and aluminium including the spindle. https://www.compasscycle.com/shop/components/bottom-brackets/skf-bottom-bracket-jis-square-taper/
Await the agruements ;)
Is the brompton BB SKF?

in s2l currently have raw/titanium, black lacquer black edition, all grey, turkish green/black edition and all black - and a chpt3, a few 9streets on order!
Probably need a few more standard colours!

Lack of technical terms alert:
You know the clip that secured the rear triangle in the unfolded (riding) position? How do you go about tightening that so there’s no give? -
• #4371
In which direction?
-
• #4372
The seat clamp / clip is designed to had movement, you can modify it to remove the movement bu you will normally cause the clip to fail to hold and the back wheel will flip under when you carry the bike... most annoying when going upstairs, hilarious to watch though!
When your on the bike it should not be noticeable, unless stationary and pulling only the front brake ...

Thank you, that’s super helpful.

Same as the pre-recall ones? because as far as I'm concerned, they were great. So good as a matter of fact, a guy I used to work with (previous life as a blacksmith) during the recall took a few because according to him and some lab tests he did, the steel used was proper nice stuff. Really high purity steel.

The recall ones were FAG branded
Sugino 75 with a stock bb
