So much broken carbon. Demare had to change BOTH wheels. Time to make wheels more robust?
-
• #253
Really? I only saw the front change?
-
• #254
I didn’t see the change but the teammate’s bike was missing both front and rear wheels.
Edit: could be a double puncture as well.

• #255
Aw ok :) must’ve missed that bit - getting a bit nervous before the sprint finish
-
• #256
Er, no!
-
• #257
Ohh god.
EDIT:Rainbows!!
Did anyone see Sagan pushing a cyclist in white to the side just before he got behind Demare?
-
• #258
Yup, looked a bit dodgy, but didn't see a replay so hard to tell

Is this the “We couldn’t fuck Froome off so we’re just gonna make everyone crash to add some excitement” approach?
-
• #260
Sagan rockin’ the backward ski goggle look again. Hip-hop!
-

Love that vid :) TBF I'd expect Santa Cruz carbon wheels to be pretty robust. More than WW road stuff anyway.

Horrible crashes in both stages so far. Didn’t enjoy Astana trying to get LL Sanchez back on a bike today.
-
• #263
I looked like it was his initiative, along the lines of “give me a bike, let me tr... no, straight to the ambulance!”
I think the riders are under increased pressure this year (even self-pressure) with smaller teams -

His shoulder is going to knack in the shower.
Anyway, TTT tomorrow so surely a nice safe day for eve...

Possibly the company I’d kept during the stage... but I felt a bit deflated by the stage today. Not least because of the nasty crashes in themselves, but cos it felt like we were robbed of a great bunch sprint.

Can’t understand why Gaviria wasn’t nearer the front at that point.
-
• #267
Quickstep occasionally hang back until the final km, and then hoon it with four riders who block off the lead train at the time. This probably wasn't the stage to do it mind, but Bora were making sure the pace was very high
-
• #268
He was at the front all the time, the peleton had to thin out to take the turn so he probably fell back coz of that.

LLS did FOUR ribs and his elbow

I don't understand advertising. Surely if you're buying watches from watchfinder, you have a better groupset?
-
• #273
shit :(
-
• #274
It was grim viewing watching him deal with the pain. Fair play for trying to get back on the bike though, what a beast.

Mad love for the Movistar Canyon
Read that as 'Made' about three times.
