Great run, well done!
Also, I didn't know there was a Sale Water Parkrun, I thought the locals were in Alexandra and Longford Parks but it seems I've conjured up one of them in my imagination. I'll come along to it before the summer is out.
I decided it's time to start getting myself ready for the Trafford 10k which was put back to September (only run ~60k this year so far) so last night did a hard (for me) 7km and managed it in under 35 minutes. Really chuffed with it, as <50mins is my aim for the race.
If anyone has any advice on intervals for this I'd be interested, otherwise my aim is to keep the running load up where it is, slowly increasing until I'm running over 10k a week.
Locally we have Longford, Platt, Sale, Wythenshawe & Burnage. Spoilt for choice!
7km in 35, stick with that routine & up the distance a bit as you plan to you'll be fine, regular steady base miles will get you faster anyway. Intervals can probably wait IMO, others might disagree.
