MY hunger?
Think about this.

Sorry been lax replying.
Lazy as anything, do you ever even get out of the house?

Ryan Flinn moving again, must have found a gooch solution.
-
• #2380
Not really. He's riding out of the saddle most of the time.
-
• #2381
Did this in Switzerland for TCR04. It fucked my knees up after a day.
Hope he can finish without doing further damage. -
• #2382
Ryan looks to be limping home. Pretty slow going, still seems intent on the 'triple crown'. Simone due to finish today, sixty miles out.
-
• #2383
Those last 60 miles really drag.
I'm hoping Ryan gets fair weather for his run in. I'm sure he'll be fine with the riding but nasty conditions will just prolong his recovery.

We talked about it. I didn't do it because I'd already flown home to Oz for xmas but he was keen. I think he's going to ride TCR unofficially unless his ball bag explodes before the start.

Riding a bike across America?

Why is CB listed as FIN above me when his tracker stopped short of the finish?

Because life is unfair?

Because software is buggy, is more accurate.

Shared a meal with Jason before the start and he was out for my (second) finish too. Nice guy, fast guy and on packfiller podcast...

Did you have much trouble with loose/unleashed dogs this year hippy?
-
• #2393
Less than last year and earlier. All the ones in Kentucky must've been shot... I wonder how that could've happened...
First one was outside Walnut, Kansas and then a few after that but the big stretch of trouble last year wasn't as bad.

Most of them are still busy digesting the bites they got out of you last year.

Just seen this.
Fucking stupid distracted drivers.
Here's the text:It is with great sadness that I share the following update from John's CaringBridge:
"When we started this caring bridge, we had hoped to provide details of John's journey toward recovery. John's life story has been one of great adventures, love, and incredible relationships. We are heartbroken to share today's update and have stumbled to move through tears and find the appropriate words. John's heart stopped beating today. His medical team made every effort to restore his heart beat, as they have grown to love John too. Unfortunately, John's life story ends today. But wherever his next ride takes him, we find comfort in knowing he is pedaling his ass off and happy to be free.
We hope that you continue to be inspired by how he lived. "John was exemplary in life, one that I think we could all be inspired by. He looked at the big picture - what is important verses what is temporary; the good of the whole verses the selfishness of the immediate. He loved his family relentlessly and cared for others constantly. He gave back to his community and was graciously kind. If you take anything away from this post, may it be to live life fuller by being kinder, dedicated to the things that truly matter. Life is short for each one of us. Live with integrity and you'll never waste a single day.
Please continue to keep Susan and John's entire family in prayer.
Rest in peace, my friend. Thank you for all that you have done.

Do we know how the other guys who were hit are?
Also will anyone ride this next year, given the hit rate?

I didn't think he'd survive. His injuries just sounded too bad.
RIP John Egbers.
