• Im getting into fixed gear tt'ing, looking to get a deeper section wheelset than what i have. Has anyone got any experience with this? Anything to recommend?

  • Sl42 aluminium where popular but their are loads of options now . See the discount wheel building guy on here . Too early to remember his name right now.

    @varno

  • If it’s for tt ing then a disc on the rear and whatever deep section road wheel takes your fancy on the front would seem logical. When I started tts (geared) I bought a 1080 rear and still ended up buying a disc anyway , sounds better too!

  • Raltech disc covers for the rear.

  • Got a skinsuit and spermhat? Got your position sorted? You account for something like 70% of the total drag.

    Two hours with Aerocoach can be had for £345 and you'll be faster for that, than spending the same on wheels.

    Wheel-wise, spend your money at the front: the air hits that first. Even a disc produces less gain than you'd think, because the air is "dirty".

    Try TTF for a good selection of fast wheels.

  • That sounds wise, i have a skinsuit and have been attempting to diy a good position. But obvs i know nothing compared to aerocoach and whatnot so maybe thats a shout

  • Happy to assist here guys!!
