Thomas and Team Sky set up their overall victory with a dominant performance in the mid-week 35km team time trial. The leader's yellow jersey went from prologue time trial winner Michael Kwiatkowski to Gianni Moscon and then Thomas. The British team was able to count on the minute they gained on their rivals and use their strength as a team, in particular that of last man Tao Geoghegan Hart, to set a painful tempo and control their rivals in the four important mountain stages.

The turn he did today was ridiculous

Word. At one point I thought he was done but he kept going. Dug deep!
-
• #405
He even used his last legs to close down an attack before blowing. Chapeau!

At this year's Critérium du Dauphiné, there's a new rider catching the eye, turning heads, and giving international television commentators a headache as they try to pronounce his name: Tao Geoghegan Hart.

It sounds from that as if he's riding the Vuelta this year, as andyp thought.

that double arm flick he did to geraint saying " thats it i've had enough "
before then contining on to close down about two more attacks and dragging g up to the attackers before then exploding
amazing workwould it be rude to compare him personality wise to bradley wiggins, he's always got a cheeky smile and cheeky glance at the camera when someone else is being interviewed and he's in the background and the way he speaks, he comes across so well when he talks to camera
good luck for the future tgh

Except for the drop into St Gervais (which made the final even harder) this was the same last two climbs as one of the stages on the tour in 2016 it was the day Froome slid down a descent on his 4rse. Possibly stage 19?
We stayed on the penultimate climb in a lovely gite (that was briefly in shot) that year and from personal experience the climb from the Sallanches road to the top at Bettex is amazingly steep 1st gear in the car at one point). And the houses on the road from St Gervais to Bettex are beyond belief too. -

I did one of the Winter League races recently and have been placed wrong meaning im missing out on BC points.
Whats the best way of trying to change this?
I have emailed the Organiser but not sure how much that will help. From page 2 of the ‘Thinking of Racing’ thread. Posted by a young TGH desperate for his BC points.

He could do with some now, he's ranked 94th in the UK currently.

Do pros have to maintain their BC categories? I assume Chris Froome has never signed on for a BC sanctioned race and put his pound in the mug for the biscuit he had afterwards.

Some UCI points count.
Though none here https://www.britishcycling.org.uk/points?person_id=74067&d=4&year=2018

I would like to see them forced to go to Hillingdon once a year to race in the pissing rain. Then they’ll earn their money. They don’t know they’re born.

Apparently Tao got pushed off by Alex Dowsett in the Nationals the other day?
-
• #421
that's terrible
hopefully they sanction and throw the book at him
thats no way to treat a fellow professional -

Channeling your inner tabloid editor there.

• #423
What's the source for this?
-
• #424
Dowsett crashed out of the road race, describing the crash as ‘unfortunate’ on Instagram. I’ve not seen any reports on why Tao didn’t finish, but he was a dnf in the results.

A good friend of Tao's.
He said it in a jokey way, as if it wasn't deliberate, but I didn't get more details.
again mentioned in todays despatches,,,,,,,
. While Team Sky’s former yellow jersey wearers Michal Kwiatkowski and Gianni Moscon were dropped – along with Vincenzo Nibali – race leader Geraint Thomas was present and fortunately had the indefatigable Tao Geoghegan Hart, and even Jonathan Castroviejo, to shepherd him towards the final climb.
