This is the process - it's a bit tricky. Only costs you a stamp though.
- Make a note of the time and location it happened, as well as the route and registration number of the bus
- Pop to this website and look up who runs that bus route (TfL subcontracts them all out)
- Scribble a quick letter to the operator requesting the footage under GDPR legislation (which is free - used to be Data Protection Act and a £10 charge) and include all those details from earlier, as well as who you are and what you were dressed like etc - they need to know which bits of video include you
- Sit back and wait - it comes in the post on a CD a couple of weeks later
- Make a note of the time and location it happened, as well as the route and registration number of the bus
Turns out that if a bus cuts you up, you can request the footage for free. It comes in the post on a CD.
