There's something nice about my first memory of England in a tournament being Euro 96
Not haunted by the ghosts of Brolin & Dahlin then? #euro92
Watching England in Tottenham has helped change my mind about them.
It's hard to keep up the grumbles about racist, arrogant fans when you're with such a mixed group of normal people.
I was also impressed with the Colombian fans in Seven Sisters last night. After the game, most of them that I saw were still in good spirits, lots of shrugging and rueful smiles rather than bitterness.
There's something nice about my first memory of England in a tournament being Euro 96 and Pearce and Southgate's penalties, and now 22 years on it's come back around in a way.
