Girlfriend ended up in hospital last week with a kidney stone. To say Charing Cross hospital is a ghost town at weekends would be an understatement. Saw nobody.

Nothing specifically, just some general experience so I know whether to bother running a roll through it.
Perfect response so thank you, I started shooting on it today. It has a lovely viewfinder and very nice build quality.
Mine came with a 50mm 1.7, I may pick up a couple of lenses for it if the results are good. Refreshing to have metering again after using a Leica M3 for a couple of years -

Well.. here at Impex it's only a bit more expensive than, say, Delta or T-Max, especially in 120.
It's cheaper than Portra 400! : )Fuji are discontinuing it, so I suggest you try it now before it's too late.

Anyone used filmdev recently ? What's their turn around time like ?
Put a couple of test rolls through a new (old) camera. Normally use Jessops 1hr dev+scan for this but their minilab is broken (again). -

Filmdev often turn around within a day of them receiving the film. I really rate them.

So I have a dilemma, Ive got a big euro trip coming up next month Im away for like 6 weeks.
I want to shoot lots of landscapes and stuff and potentially do a wee show in Glasgow later in the year.
I've got a M6 with a 35mm but I kinda fancy a T2 to make things a bit faster and not miss stuff as discussed a few pages ago but I also kinda wanna capture the landscape stuff on 120 should I have a Mamiya instead of a T2 just so I can make extra large prints of scenic stuff or is 35mm more than sufficient. Also will probs take my digital camera too so that could cover that but will lose some of the softness obviously that the film has.
Ive never shot 120 btw just got it in my head that im maybe missing a trick.
Thanks

What size are you thinking of printing at ? 35mm film is fine for most sizes
Things like lens sharpness/ focus, film type (depending on aesthetic) and scan size (if you're not darkroom printing) tend to more limiting factors as print sizes get bigger.I got an A3 C-type print done from a Kodachrome slide of my wife's parent's wedding, and while it's fine from a distance up close you can tell either the photographer's lens wasn't particularly sharp, or they missed focus.
I'd imagine this isn't a problem Steve Mccurry has when he's selling prints of his Afghan Girl Kodachrome slide.Try making prints of your existing 35mm photos from the camera you'll be using at the size you want to exhibit at before you go ? See how they look ?

Ah right. Definitely worth putting a roll through. No real complaints or snags with it, it just goes. Only thing to be somewhat aware of is that there is no on/off switch so every time the shutter button is half pushed, the light meter is re-activated along with the slightly sensitive shutter button could lead to accidental shots.
But apart from that, wonderful camera, so light and portable. Would be lovely to see the shots you've got with it once you're done.

Been going through a double exposure phase, cameras include Olympus OM10, Nikon FM2n and Minolta XD7.
And my personal fav:
More disappointed with Ektar greens as they're more or the less the same as Portra.
Had been shooting a lot of Ektar down my local wood and having to lump a tripod around (I hate shooting with a tripod) as 100ISO and it can get quite shaded in there even in broad daylight.
That I can get more or less the same look with Portra 400 when green is the predominant colour is kinda disappointing - I might as well just shoot Portra 4oo and use the tripod less.
Need to try out some variant of Fuji in there at some point as they're normally quite good with greens. Has anyone noticed though that Fuji of all flavours seems to be less common in physical shops now ? I asked my local lab who are normally well stocked with Kodak and Ilford to get some in, but they're having difficulty too. To the internets I guess.
