My flatmate gave it to me because it was too hot for him, its pretty poky, he's also given me the yellow one to try too.

they just indoors or do you give them time outside too?
-
• #508
Just indoors, but with the window open during the day 3/4 of them now have fruit. I suspect some of their success is due to the fact that there are roots that protruded into the reservoir of the self-watering pots.

Went to wahaca a couple of weeks ago and kept their chili seed packs.
Stuck them in some left over soil from a grow bag, 2 sticks per little pot, left them in the garden.
Looked today and most of them have sprouted! Not sure how robust they are but enjoying the outside in my garden.

If I am growing my chillis inside, do I have to pollinate them?
-
• #511
I just use an ear bud on each flower to move the plant jizz around.
-
• #512
Just tickle them? The same plant? Or cross-plant? Cross-species? Thank you
-
• #513
Shaking them works.
Same plant, yea. -
• #514
If you don't plan to save seeds and regrow then you can pollinate cross-variety.

Is tomato feed ok for chillis?
Have half a dozen tomato plants getting to the stage I need to supplement their diet, and I have 1 solitary chilli plant in its own pot (and a few little wahaca seeds just starting to sprout)
Ok to use the same stuff on them?
Or should I seek specific chilli food? -
• #516
Did this too but stuck them all in a strawberry pot in the garden and they've all sprouted. Pretty stoked!
Will transfer them to bigger pots and move them indoors once summer is waning and they're more robust.

Can you use any chilli seeds to grow new plants?
Like, I have some shop bought jalapeno, can I harvest the seeds from that and plant them? Also I have a plant that is finally fruiting now, I'd like to take seeds from that for next year's crop. (As it's proven to like my garden)

^ Yes to the plant that is fruiting in your garden. The shop bought one might but it dpepends if the fruit has been treated or cold stored for a while.
is Chilli Focus feed worth getting?
