Jockey wheels on ancient 8 speed Deore M510-L are in an awful state. Hardly any visible teeth and lots of play.
Buy and fit new jockey wheels? Seems expensive. Replace the whole dérailleur? Can't find an exact replacement so what will work instead? Buy a new bike since the rest of the components are knackered too? (Long term plan but skint.)
Surely Deore M510 was 9 speed. Any Shimano 9 speed MTB derailleur should work. Or jockey wheels are less than a tenner. Also the 'L' in RD-M510 -L just means it was black rather than silver.
