• The SRAM patent doesn't strictly cover Wireless shifting, it's more covering a battery mounted directly on a derailleur. Shimano have a few patent docs out there that have interesting things like dynamo jockey wheels to charge the derailleur directly, whether this is feasible is another story altogether.

  • I'd like them to first sort out the shitty mess that is the stem mounted junction boxes they think are okay.

    Madison have now had my 6870 shifter for six weeks. Got my LBS to send it back because the switch was sticky and not returning on shifts. They can't seem to get an answer. Currently rolling around on a heavy winter bike with 10 speed Tiagra like a caveman.

    On the plus side, it will feel like I've got a new bike when they get it back to me/I give up and buy a shifter off eBay.
