Have you admitted that there is a scuff to your car? Unfortunately, even if you don't claim, and successfully deflect this moron's claim, then the insurer will mark down that there was a no-claim incident affecting your premiums in the future.

Yes, they have asked for photos...
-
• #43104
Can you not say you scuffed your car and have no idea what this person is taking about, so they won't get a penny
-
• #43105
Sadly, too late for that.
Waiting to see how our insurance co approach this.Possible option would be a counter claim against the other party.

Ok, sounding the "I need some help with this" horn, we are going to go ITB, which means I'll need an airbox like this:
My engine is laid out somewhat differently to that GT3, but it's broadly the same thing.
Who would like to help here? I would be planning on paying for this help, btw.

[stumbles in clumsily]
I won’t be able to make anything but I can give plenty of carbon fibre advice. Have you got to make this from scratch?
-
• #43109
Yep. It's a little way out, but it's a critical part - otherwise the throttles will be breathing in (very) hot engine bay air.

hmm 550i engine sounded very very tappety - VERY tappety! decided to give it a miss
but the v8 noise

Subaru Legacy had had sagging rear suspension/hi front when I bought it.
Following others on uk Subaru Legacy forum I’ve had fitted:
Bilstein b4 shocks
H&r raising springs
Top mounts
All round fittedby local shop.Ride height is unchanged. Still an obvious between front and rear. Garage said give it time to settle but I’m baffled as to why it hasn’t levelled up.
What could be causing this?

• #43113
That would be great, cheers

Is the actual intake vent on the downward sloping surface below the rear window? Just need to be careful you’re not trying to suck air in from a low pressure zone around there.
-
• #43115
Shame, could be a few things though - including just being a noisy engine, apparently!
-
• #43116
Did you swap in all corners, or just the back? If you've only worked on the rear, could it be as simple as wrong springs / shocks at the front?
-
• #43117
Top mounts shocks and springs changed front and rear

It's not something basic like different sized wheels is it?
Or maybe some sort of self levelling suspension?
-
• #43120
No it’s standard shocks and springs
All wheels match

Time for a GT2 style wing!

Just came to post that, it's absolute madness

Yep, fully ridiculous.
Changes direction like nothing i've ever seen. Like an RC car at some points
I was thinking more along the lines of "knock for knock" (although I said 50/50, on reflection I didn't mean that).
My assumption is that this person cannot prove that we caused damage to his car, any more than we can prove that he [may have] caused damage to ours.
Therefore each insurer responds to their policy holders claim (we don't intend to make a claim over a scratched bumper).
