  • @slothy @edscoble I'm slowly learning manufacturers understandably play it safe when quoting range compatibility. This could make a difference. My next question is what 42/44/46t cog or cassette can I put on my Shimano 11sp road freehub body?

    Thanks also Ed for mentioning about the new breed of Shimano rear mechs, trying the Road Link first like you say might be cheaper but good to know.

    It's more the length of the derailleur hanger, Shimano rated their with the shortest derailleur cage out there (they somehow missed the CAAD12 one which is even shorter), so any bike like the Specialized Sequoia with it's longer derailleur hanger can actually have a long cage 5800 derailleur with a Sunrace 11-36t cassette.
