Perfect conditions on the F20/10 tonight.
As I drive home with a damaged sidewall on my disc wheel, I will look out for everyone setting their new PBs and wish I had checked my wheels before I left the house.

Shit, that sucks.

I don't really understand how it's happened unless it just got too hot in the car and expanded on an already-damaged part of the tyre.
It was fine on Sunday, it's been in the car since (maybe the issue), and now it won't hold any air and it doesn't look repairable.
Ah well. At least I can watch some of the Germany game now.

Disc Wheels die in hot cars ! so do dogs, small children, old people.
If you see a Disc wheel trapped in a car, smash a window let it breathe, dial LFG9SS99
Hot cars kill Disc wheels. -

224 or 225 miles with 27minutes if stops as I self support. I was on my road racing bike with no extensions as they terrify me. I fell apart twice. At the end 100W was a real effort. My np was 195w, including stops, which just goes to show how slippery riders on TT bikes are.
The wind was punishing and course is quite hilly. If Alice and dungleby turn up to the a11 12hr they could smash there records again. Still a nearly 19 mph in the wind is not to bad on a road bike for 12hrs. I am doing the Welsh 12hr next weekend. That one is hilly. -

only 30 in the welsh 12hr on sunday and the forcast is poor. Do I want to do a 12hr in a thunderstorm?

You probably don't, but we want you to so we can hear an heroic saga of cataclysmic storms, drowning marshals, triumph against adversity. And sheep.

I got rejected from the Dunstable CC 20 on 7th July.
Apparently they had 250 entries so the cut off must have been a short 22.
It's a bit disappointing because I don't have that many free weekends in summer left.

You should have entered the Welsh 12hr.

No way.
I did a 50 last year and that was far enough.

That sucks. It's going to be hard to get on the F11/10 now, especially as the V course looks to be finished. The last event a few weeks ago, the first 41 riders were sub 20!

Course records on H10/[1|2|8|17R|22] are all under 20:00, just do your 19 on one of those and you'll have no trouble getting a ride on the F11 to get your 18 :)

I think I should get in, my LTS is from this season on the E2.

Even when it's specified I'd go to the wrong place. Leaving it blank lets me make it up...

Have you been reading my training manual?

Damm it going to be hot on sunday. never done a TT in this heat before. I have got 12 1 litre bottles arriving today. I think I'll need every one of them.

These things are great for taking to races - loads to drink and you can plonk it on the car's roof to de-gross your face and hair afterwards/cool down.

Had an email saying the cut off time was 21 mins.
-
• #18222
Same.
You riding it then? -
• #18223
Yeah, birthday TT! Want a 19 for my 36th year.
-
• #18224
I hope I'll have got below 20 by the time I'm 36, but I don't see it.

You have a head start I would guess. I did my first open road TT at the end of 2015.
Edit, 2015, 3rd full season on TTing.
Slightly annoyed, if anything. I was 49s faster on Kingston Bagpuss on Saturday on a worse day, which means I have to keep schlepping all the way up there :)
