For my own reference, because I can never find it when I need it.

Lager's more healthery than coffee?
I knew it!
So I was unfairly dismissed.

No, they both should be consumed in equal and vast quantities for ULTIMATE PERFORMANCE.

They accidentally cut cider off the top of that list, right?

Cider has apples in it now....?

• #208
Only if you're a bloke, for everyone else, ladies and metrosexuals, it's this kind of shite..

That is exactly how I imagine you.
But naked.

I have a better hat though.

Can anyone recommend me a brand of Oral Rehydration Solution?
Not too bothered about taste, I just want to get rehydrated asap after an evening ride without having to drink fuck loads of water / wake up every five minutes for a piss. -

Dioralyte?

Is this stuff better than other bottled water? What's so smart about it?

Dioralyte
Was actually going to ask if diarrhoea stuff would do the job for sports.
Dare I ask if you're being serious?! -

Isn't drinking more before and during your ride possible?
Better to treat the cause, rather than the symptoms.

I did a multiple day mountain event about 15 years ago, and one of my companions was a pharmacist, complete with his own mobile pharmacy. The first thing he did every day after finishing riding was to make up and drink a dose of dioralyte. He swore it was the best rehydration solution out there.

Certainly... I guess what I mean is: what can I drink that's more hydrating than water, so I can drink less of it? A better minerals/fluids ratio for the bladder!

Thanks man. I think I might give this a go.
Although... 15 years ago / multiple mountain event / mobile pharmacy...

Skim milk is the next best thing.
But how dehydrated are you getting on your ride? Some dehydration is not a problem.

Milk in your bottle in this weather is going to give you either yogurt or butter depending on the road surface.

During TABR I'd pull into a gas station or supermarket, grab a bottle of chocolate milk and neck it while picking up stuff heading to the checkouts. It's great in hot weather if you can handle lactose.

hard to say. but y'know... enough to want a solution (no pun intended).
Yeah I heard cold chocolate milk is good. Cocoa has protein in it as well I think?
