In other news, The Quick Step tour team look ferocious.
Gaviria for the sprints, and every non mountain stage raced like a one day race... -

I think so, yes. These are the custom peloton bikes you can see and get written about because the pre-production stuff is interesting and rule bending.

Uran to win the Tour de France, you heard it here first.

Paul Kimmage voice "What is it about these Colombians you seem to admire so much?"

I’d be surprised, for two reasons. Firstly, his team is nowhere near as strong as those of his main rivals, and the TTT will be a major influence in the final overall standings. Secondly, to win the Tour you have to act decisively at least once at a key moment of the race, Uran has never shown he has the tactical nous to do this in previous races, as is verified by the fact that he has never won a stage race of any length as a pro.

Hopefully but it’s more versatile than that I reckon.
Alaphilippe will be up there on finishes like Muur de Bretagne. Wouldn’t rule Jungels out of a top 10 finish.
They’ll fancy the TTT too with those big engines.

Strange he wouldn't be on a rebadged giant then

I’m sure he was well compensated for looking the other way at just the right time. :-)

Will the pros have team support at nat champs?
I imagine there’ll be a Sky mechanic at the British champs, for example, but what if you’re Dylan van Baarle or Kiri?

With fuck all racing on at the moment, I’m looking forward to the Cancellara/Gaimon grudge match, even if both of them are playing it down;
What are the odds on Cancellara having a motor that he uses to win?

Well, I can only say: Game on!

I'd love if he showed up on an ebike

Brit TT is on Youtube; Harry Tanfield on a rampage right now
-

I’m stuck on a train north of Welwyn, not sure the idea of watching a domestic TT appeals even now.

Cycling Podcast ripped off my joke about Fortuneo a few pages back. I knew it was a decent joke.
I'm disappointed the squad isn't heading down to Decathlon en masse this Saturday morning to get sorted out. One of them would come out with a canoe and some horse tackle.

Geraint wins, Tanfield second, Dowsett third

• #18548
Expect Tanfield will step up to a bigger team next year after some decent results.
-
• #18549
He's now a full time member of the GB track team I believe, so any road racing commitments will need to fit around that.

I think it might have been the same deal with the Roubaix and the Domane as well.
