That's crazy, I'm hosting some couchsurfers rn and the guy have a Leica Monochrom with a Summar from the 30's. Exact opposite.

What's the most I should be paying for an Olympus XA? As in the original XA. Want a compact/small rangefinder that has manual controls.

No idea but they are great cameras!

The answer is £79.00. I checked completed listings for the XA and it was at least ~£30.00 less than all of the other very good condition, fully tested, with flash unit auctions. Came from a bricks and mortar shop in Sevenoaks called Pantile Cameras, so that's re-assuring too. Very excited.

Always fancied an XA at some point. Considering the price of other compacts they do still seem reasonably priced (especially when they come in their cool presentation box with flash).
Mamiya ZM, 28mm f3.5, Ultramax. This weather is great for shooting film.

Heh, that’s the article that convinced me to buy one earlier today. Bikes, Scotland, cameras, beagle(?)... didn’t put two and two together :-)

Taking this to try for the first time on a trip to south of France. Not sure if I should trust the seals and dare taking it in/under the water.

Inspired me to go to my local camera shop and spend £15.99 on a roll of Velvia 50 :-|

Hmmmm ¯_(ツ)_/¯ I did look before I bought it. Amazon had it for £12.99 or something, so I wasn't too bothered... now I am sad. With that said I can't find it much cheaper anywhere else. Not in 135 anyway.

WTF @JB, I bought 5 blocks of 36 exp and it was around £5.00 a roll. Freezer full of the stuff.
I paid about £30ish for two rolls of Velvia 100, 'tis the price of (E6) film now sadly. If you can pick up Agfa Precisa anywhere (rebranded Fuji) that's £13 now.
