• Yeah, my brother just had his repaired for free.

    If it’s within the repair window, I would flag it up and try to get the repair. If it all goes well fine. If there are any complications or it is out with the recall dates, I would return it or ask for money off.

    I had one that got progressively worse over time.

  • I've got a Genius Bar appt this Friday; the recall period for the 2013 models ends in July, so I am scraping in but hoping it will be replaced. From what I've heard, they do a full shakedown of the machine and replace other bits with issues gratis at the same time. Not getting my hopes up, but I've got my hopes up.

  • I've just had my mid 2014 (bought Jan '15) done for the second time, gratis. It's been so nice to have what feels like a brand new machine every couple of years.
