Even better. It's great in the wet. Keeps you warm and dries very quickly but due to the fact there's no membrane, it doesn't get sweaty. Problem with Gabba/Shadow is they can only really be used in 'changeable' weather. The gilet can be used when it's Baltic outside, as well as changeable. But that's just my opinion.
I live in the Peaks where a constant threat of rain hangs over 95% of rides year round.
