If you are PAYE (and probably only if you don't fill in a tax return) you should indeed get an automatic rebate. But not for a while. I got a cheque on the doormat in Feb for the year to April 17. But if you've moved...

Cheers. That's what I thought. We both were PAYE, and I'm fairly certain it happened before (when we first moved to the UK and were charged emergency tax. But that was a while ago, so things change). I'm pretty sure it was deposited into my account rather than sent as a cheque. Maybe I'll give them a call today.
Tax question. I, and my partner, left our jobs in August last year. Presumably we are both owed a bit of cash money care of HMRC. I was hoping it would just go into our bank account. It hasn't. Anyone gone through this process before, and/or should I just call them? We don't live in the address we did at the time (currently not based in UK).
