Do a full-triangle frame bag

Definitely will try a few different things out soon. Would need to order more fabric first.

Jealous, wish I had room for material and a sewing machine!

It all goes away in a cupboard, all you need is a dining room/coffee table that you can clear temporarily. It’s good fun and nice to have a creative output

And someone to borrow a sewing machine from :)

Isn't that what mums are for?
Might go home and try to bash out a frame bag in a weekend...

borrow a sewing machine
You hardly need to borrow a machine if you're just doing light duty plain stitching for the lolz, you can pick up a vintage Singer for peanuts

I’ve inadvertently gone done impulse bought a TCX SLR.....
More a necessity impulse purchase than usual (I always have a “reason”) working out in Maidenhead at the moment and just wanted another bike to (theoretically) smash to and fro on other than the CAAD12 or the Brompton. Also would like to think that this can serve other purposes; a bit of summer CX, winter training and anything else I can throw at it.
Built very, very parts bin #basic at the moment with the most expensive, and only new part, being the Ultegra RX rear mech.
Just hoping this thing will be fun to ride more than anything.
Waiting to complete it 1X to play around.

Nice! I've always liked these.

It’s a far cry from the Open, but I’m hoping it’ll be a little bit more practical, mainly because it’s about 3% of the cost, which means hopefully I won’t care about it as much and thus just use the hell out of it!

Tell me about it.....
Upped my commute 8X
Miserable is a more fitting description

Not finished as such since going to be swapping things out in the future but now useable. Just wrapped the bars this morning and first real ride with it. Sounds like a tractor on tarmac but once you get on this smooth, hard mud stuff we have at the moment it is fun.
more images here but taken with my crappy phone camera. Will have to take proper pics at some point.

I really like what @spotter did to his Giant TCX:

Polish it.

His has been a source of potential future inspiration - I just want to get it built and ridden before making any further time and money commitments toward it!
@LeePaton as much as I enjoyed seeing @MechaMorgan polish one off..... shiney silver ain’t my thing!

Missed this, why did you sell the open?
-
• #119869
Cos I spent too much time / money making into a gravel bike; it just wasn’t a road bike, and I needed a road bike.

Just for @Scilly.Suffolk
Wisely using those Planet X discounted red Vittoria tyres.
Surely at £4 a pop you can live with the colour??

No. No I can't.
But speaking of pop, I need some bubbly: I'll send you an email this evening.

Thanks to @frankenbike for sending me the part I needed to fix my sram shifter
Is anyone selling a black 100mm quill, with 26mm clamp? Would like to try a slightly shorter stem

Put new wheels on this the other month.
Headset and cranks are next on the list, most likely DA.

Your bike’s shadow is rocking wide af bars
After making one tool roll and thinking I’m a sewing virtuoso, I’m making myself a backpack
