I went to see the Danish in-laws and they got 1 for me, I had low expectations but it was a damn good beer!

It still makes me smile whenever I remember that Special Brew was created to honour Winston Churchill's 1950 visit to Copenhagen.

Had a lovely Belching Beaver peanut butter milk stout tonight.
It's my favourite beer right now, have had a few cans of it lately (it's between £4.50 and £5.60 a can in craft beer shops so £6.50 in a pub isn't obscene tbh)
tailgate do one which isn't as peanut'y but is closer to £3.50 a can and eminently drinkable still.

managed to track down a couple of bottles of Yellow Belly as well (peanut butter biscuit stout) from Buxton x Omnipollo as I figured that would be a step up from these 2.
Sadly not the case, as with all the omnipollo beers i've tried that are 7-11% they mostly taste like a weird liquorice allsort (as close as I can put a description on it) at £10 a bottle (about £2/bottle over internet pricing from the craft beer shop in tooting) I was pretty disappointed tbh.

Good luck finding it. Every place I tried had got a handful of cans and sold out almost immediately

In other news, i've been slowly gathering the Cannonballs (and a micro-ipa). Human is gone. Chapeau to anyone who attempted the cannonball run.

Picked one up anyway. Best before November 3rd, so I'll hang on to it for a couple of months. If you can't make it over, I'll drink it.

Brilliant, thanks! I showed this to my partner & she said I should make the journey... I would shout you a beer or few at the Rutland Arms or another pub if that'd work?
