How should these tyre set ups compare in terms of comfort/grip etc?
- 25mm tyres on a pair of narrow rims, which measure up at an effective 24.5mm.
- 23mm tyres on a pair of wide rims, which measure up at an effective 24.5mm.
Assume both are the same make/model tyre. Same pressure.

has anyone tried the strada lcv? Β£25 a tyre...
what's the go-to 28c gumwall road tyre at the mo?

If my experience with #2 is anything to go by you can expect numerous pinch flats.

I run 23c tires in 23 wide rims. It's really fast, tough for all round riding big tires are comfier, more durable

Much the same as each other. Would probably take the 23s on wide rims myself.

Only fault I can find with them really. Had a guy (repair) who was an ultracyclist that loved them so much, he bought them in bulk.

Spotted these at my LBS (schwalbe g-ones gumwall)... look pretty good except they canβt be run tubeless
the logo-ing is a bit annoying tho

aye, i was pretty excited to get these until i found out no tubeless. For me, sort of the point of having large tires.

Would also like thoughts on 28c gumwall road tyres. I currently have vittoria corsas but they don't tend to last that well ...

Is that Bicycle Ambulance in Cambridge?

Ha yes! Good spot!

Challenge Paris roubaix ? Thatβs what Iβm leaning towards

Challenge anything, they're all excellent in my experience

I'll give them a go if I can find a deal on. 40 quid a tyre is a bit steep for me. I've also heard the wet weather grip isn't great?

I have Corsa controls rather than G+ and so far really decent.

Got four punctures on a nine day LEJOG trip, so my Rubino Pros need replacing. 28mm road tyre, fast but robust. What to get?

I knew this was the answer :(

BRR said that the puncture-proofing was basically comparable with the G+.

I've got Schwalbe Ones in 28. They feel fast and haven't punctured yet...

My gf's managed LEJOG and an awful lot of commuting on 25c Durano Plus without a single puncture. Seems pretty hardy so I guess 28 should be too.

Another recommendation for Conti 4 seasons.
If you have/know of anyone with a british cycling (10%) or Deliveroo (20%) discount. Then cheapest place to buy them is Halfords. They will price match and then use the discount.
I found the G One speeds wear a lot quicker than expected on road. Still using them but had to replace a rear after 2000km of crap UK roads.
