Depending on the model this is a free warranty fix. Search the thread back a few pages, I had mine repaired

Yeah, my brother just had his repaired for free.
If it’s within the repair window, I would flag it up and try to get the repair. If it all goes well fine. If there are any complications or it is out with the recall dates, I would return it or ask for money off.
I had one that got progressively worse over time.

Hmmm, having now inspected this used MacBook in a sunny room, I see that the screen is displaying what I think might be the retina coating issue I've read about. Anyone seen this on their machine? Apart from on the bezel it's not at all visible when the screen's on but I'm concerned it might worsen. eBay seller is amenable to a discussion later. Trying to work out what my position should be.
