A cyclist is fighting for his life after being involved in a crash
with a car on a busy road in Croydon.

Emergency services were called to Whitehorse Road, at the junction
with Northbrook Road, in Selhurst, at just after 6am on Saturday (June
23) to reports of a road traffic collision.

The driver failed to stop.

Detectives have established that the collision occurred at 06:13hrs on
23 June. The car – which was a dark coloured BMW – did not stop at the
scene.

Officers are appealing for the driver of the BMW to come forward. They
are also asking any witnesses or anyone with information to contact
the Serious Collision Investigation Unit at Catford on 020 8285 1574.
