That’s actually a pretty good point - which I hadn’t considered. And Honda tape is way stronger than gaffer tape. I think you’ve just given me an idea... [160+psi water rocket]

Looks like they are just trying to keep up with the bar height of the bike behind.

Just saw that come up. The video of him at the end reminds me of riding our tandem fully loaded. ..

It seems we all had the same idea, I was struggling for a place to fit it but here is as good as anywhere!

@AlphaOmega Mavic used to do an adaptor for this purpose which maintained the pads in their original slots.

Hack, bodge or neither? Found this random cable pull adapter thing in a shop and used it to get V-brakes with road levers. Not sure if it's designed for shifters or brakes but it seems to work, though very screechy

full bike shot?

Bad photo as I just got home, sorry.
Will eventually fit a coaster rear hub, just need a really cheap 36h rim. Tonight's job is a cable doubler thingy that I also found in the shop so that both levers will operate the front brake. Might turn it into an SSCX thing.
Might also sand/polish the bars to a better match?
Edit: also the previous owner coloured in random bits and scribbled all over it, most of it I got off but haven't been arsed to have a go at the lugs yet.

You can increase the psi and noise/pain level by wrapping in duct tape.
You know...if that's what floats your boat.
