Which used be my fav brakes and the reason I got into cross bikes really. I used to have an Empella Bonfire with blue Frogglegs. I might just buy these and try to put some better cartridge pads on there to make them contemporary.

Thanks, all over all of those... except I missed bidding on the top pair and they just sold for £21!
I'll keep searching, I've not even started the conversation to order the frame so I've got some time to collect parts.
p.s. GT is going to look great with that groupset. Whats the q-factor like on those cranks, is it less than more modern mtb cranks orare you going to do something to reduce it? I tried my square taper Middleburn RS7(?) on the Cotic for a wee while but I couldn't get anywhere near a decent chainline.

Cheers dude, I should stop second guessing myself and get on with ordering it then see what calipers I can get a good deal on when the frame is a bit closer to reality. I do find the Avids just so damn ugly...
