Do you have a drill? If you could make just a small indentation by drilling then like @TheShipwright suggested you could tap it with a punch to get it off. Do Pitlock have any suggestions? They must've encountered this issue before... Good luck!

This seems like the way to go, if you can't find a grinder then maybe a file would do the job?
