  • Well ain't that great for you, do you literally just post in this thread about what a fucking money bags you are?

    Do you even like bikes?

  • Are we setting the price now? I'll take 4000 please.

  • I work in the public sector, drive a 15 year old Citroen xsara and live in a terraced house in Leytonstone.

    I'm hardly Alan sugar.

  • Agree, timing the market is mostly bollocks. I do think things are slow at the moment because of Brexit, and that the lack of BAU is making people hold off which does impact things. I also think the risk of it being harder to buy a home after brexit is low, I expect things to be significantly cheaper for the mid term. But I'd quite like to be wrong because of my own selfish concerns and context (accidental landlord wanker), obviously.

  • Being able to overpay 1-2k per month on your London house, hardly puts you on the breadline either. You're great with money, we get it, that its all you seem to be able to contribute to this entire site.

    Literally no-one cares how much
    a. your house cost
    b. the flat before that
    c. your extension
    d. your car
    e. your kitchen
    f. how much disposable income you're lucky enough to have to overpay on your mortgage
    f. etc etc etc

This thread ought to be a place where people can share helpful information with others about the buying process, what to look out for, how not to get ripped off, recommend professionals etc yet its becoming a grotesque boast space.

  • See also: why hasn't anyone paid me loads of money for this overpriced flat yet.

  • xsara

    how do you pronounce that?

  • Are you some sort of communist? This is humble-brag junction!

  • I don't recognise what you say in the posts I have made of late and I'm very sorry you feel that way.

(That's an example of how educated adults normally speak to each other in the real world by the way)

  • Zaaaaraaaa

(Or fuck you you rattling piece of shit which is more normally how I refer to her)

  • I'm very sorry you feel that way

I'm glad I minimise my interactions with educated adults normally speaking

  • It really means something else. It's a sort of code.

  • Um yes. I got that. I thought it'd be rude to finish my sentence.

  • If anyone would care to join us, @amey and I will be at Catford Assemblies of God Pentecostal Church this Sunday praying for equity.

  • Will you be carrying rare sourdough starters?

  • Not sure where anyone actually gets the idea that Catford has gentrified!

Welcome to the neighbourhood @amey, hope the move went well.

Welcome to the neighbourhood @amey, hope the move went well.

Thanks! I paid people to pack and move whilst I am drinking cold brew at work .. no wonder millennials can't save up for house depos..

  • or is it I who has missed the joke?

  • Have you seen the typography on Archibald menu?!?

Or bought anything in the Good Food Deli.......

  • Welcome! (I'm in Lewisham, that counts right?)

I paid people to pack and move whilst I am drinking cold brew at work

You done it right. I did my move myself a couple of months ago and my back is still wrecked.

  • how do you pronounce that?

    Dunno, I didn't type it :)

  • No, is it any good?
I'm not from this country so find the obsession with class system and gentrification amusing.

  • I'm in Lewisham

you are behind the crown no?
