Free croissants and bananas for Cyclists on Q2 at Owen St for Clean Air day. Nice start to the day.

^ ^ ^ Very nice start! ^ ^ ^
Meanwhile, down on CS7, douchebag MTB rider pissing everyone off. Going for a Darwin award during rush hour is quick and efficient, sure, but the potential to become collateral damage is unacceptable.

Manage to trip over the cat this morning who was hiding on the stairs while hold a fresh cup of coffee, wife not impressed with the new look.

Well that will teach you to let your cat drink coffee.

Got the fixed ready again after months (moved up a hill, 100 meters elevation per km, excuses excuses) all good, tyres pumped, front brake set...let's go for a spin.
Forgot the SPD springs are...tight. Promptly fell over.
Forgot about the toe overlap. Fell over again.Took the Cannondale F1000 instead...

Felt liberated on my commute home last night, decided to give bib shorts a whirl rather than denim shorts. Went one more step this morning with bib shorts and swapping out a t-shirt for a cycling jersey. Cant be long before I have spent the last of my money on some sort of lightweight road bike and I leave behind the sweet fixeh life forever!

I did the exact opposite and now am loving my chilled 7km stint across parks and shit to work. The shift in mentality that happened when I donned civvies is only slight, but I'm noticeably less tired and sweaty, and not any slower really. Wonder how long till I go full circle and put on the bib shorts again haha

I have to go over a hill 30 seconds after leaving my house that gets me warmed up so even taking it slow means much sweat! The airiness of bib shorts over denim shorts is dreamy!

My commute is 9km and I wear bibs mostly because I've never found a saddle that I could ride on for 30 minutes each way, 5 days a week without some sores developing. No issues with bibs though.
Also coz cat6 -

Lidl memory foam saddle cover for about £4 has made my saddle very comfy. Might throw 2 or 3 more on it though as its got to carry me from London to Paris next month

Get a Brooks?
Unrelated, on my old bike I used to ride in the lowest gear only so that I wouldn't arrive sweaty, it was 39/25 or whatever and about 5km. Any downhill you have to coast, on the flat/hills you're limited to a certain speed by cadence. Only way to stop myself sprinting everywhere

Get a Brooks?
I've yet to find a single Brooks comfortable.

Mine was horrid until I did about 300km on it, now it's great. Could easily do an hour a day with no bib shorts. I generally don't have much trouble with saddles though

With my fat arse smothering it you cant see it anyway!

Not so airy either

Bro do you even cycle or you Slaining that thing to work, 9km in 30 mins is more Cat 60+ than Cat 6 ;)
I took the quieter back route home on monday to avoid any possible dickheads rushing home for the match.
