Helmet research - help pretty please!

Hi, I'm doing some research for work and would be very grateful if anyone could spare a few minutes to share some of their opinions. You won't get anything from this but you would be helping me and I would reaaaaally appreciate it! I'm just looking for some general feedback and a gauge to how cyclists feel about MET and what they know etc. You don't have to answer all of the questions, just whatever you can :)

What do you know about MET Helmets?

What do you know about MET Helmets?

The met police hardly ever wear helmets anymore but apparently a pregnant woman can wee in one.
Do you like the brand?
I don't know who makes the met police helmets, I guessed they are like lightsabers and the police make them when they make the grade(explaining why community support don't get helmets).
If so why? Or why not?
I guess they are good, someone must have done extensive testing to see they can preform the primary function of holding pregnant womens wee in a suitable way.
What makes you choose one helmet over another?
Pick the one of the police officer you dislike the look of most before passing the helmet they have to a pregnant friend.
Which is your favourite helmet brand if you have one? And why?
I'm not a fan of helmets but I guess the police ones as the dual function toilet use is a great thing.

True Story:
Some time ago my old mum bought me a Met helmet. In cold weather my head froze. In wet weather it got soaked and after a bright sunny day I had serious sunburn spots on my bald head.
I put the Met helmet in the bin and now wear a LFGSS cap for all round protection.

I HATE MET BECAUSE THEY DID THIS;

I don't like MET helmets because they are too cheap to pay for market research, and have a reaaaaally annoying and over familiar tone.

I read in the Daily Mail that MET helmets either cure or cause cancer. Can’t remember which, though.

That or they have paid for Market Research, but the agency think spamming cycling forums is the way to get a reaaaally greaaaat data set.

I am actually gonna be helpful because this is the Internets friendlest forum.

What do you know about MET Helmets? I always remember them being around since I was a kid. I mostly associate them with commuters and mountain biking.
Do you like the brand? What brand? I am not aware of MET having a brand in the same way that Rapha or Giro do. Instead of having a marketing team and producing good content, MET just kit Instagrammers with free shit and hope for the best. Vom.
If so why? Or why not? Not aware of any branding as above. Just a helmet manufacturer. I also associate them with wet blankets on Instagram who would sell themselves for free bike stuff.
What makes you choose one helmet over another? Aesthetics, air flow, weight.
Which is your favourite helmet brand if you have one? And why? Kask / Giro. They make good looking helmets that are well designed. All MET helmets I've seen are hella ugly.

I was bought one of those as a present once - probably should have taken the hint. Wore it exclusively without the chin bit, as I heard they were fecking dangerous in a crash (tendency to snap and put a hole in your face, apparently). Made my head look even bigger than it is. Still gathering dust in the garage somewhere. OP can come round and collect it, if they like.

I'd rather wear this than a Met helmet.

incidentally, this makeshift helmet was given to me by the Met police after I forgot to wear my helmet and my head met the pavement at around 20mph

Getting worried about you James. Have you got any friends you can talk to?

At work some years ago (2011) in Berlin we had a brunch which featured a dish of raw pork ground with onions and pepper. It was spread on bread and they called it "Mett". I tried it and it was actually pretty good.

6 hours later I was in a hospital due to a brain hemorrhage and my life forever changed. I know enough to know that it wasn't the Mett that messed my brain up but it is not like I am ever going to try it again.

do you think the kids are less safe because they feel emboldened by their helmet use?
