Blaster is basically a Composit with a small amount of padding. I believe 209 is a more heavily padded composit and doesn't feel much like a composit due to the padding.
Can't help regarding touring, I do all my rides on the Composit (albeit carbon railed version) as I prefer it over the Blaster which I tried for about 9 months on my commuter. Longest rides I've done are up to 140 miles.

I use a Composite on my road bike and its great. I'm looking for a slightly more padded one for touring. Which SMP is the next most padded one?
Anyone have any experience touring with SMP's in general?
