Oh how you mocked my saddle height and huge frame.
I suggest stretching rack, the #buyersoption or grow bags.... -

Only thing I can suggest is mounting it there although may need a bigger o ring, available at all good hardware/bike shops

What’s making the saddle bag so long and pointy?
-
• #4183
It's not rolled up
-

If it’s always going to be full. But a spare bracket. Get a patch and stich it in or so the bracket can enter from the top?

Why not mount the light on your seat stay?
-

I've got a revelate pika, and I have my seatpost strap much further up the post, nearer the saddle.....that would allow you some post to pop it onto.....?

In planning on putting an order in for some Restrap bike packing kit.
Spatr says I should get a custom frame back. I get why, and the basic principles, but what's the best thing to do in terms of avoiding v. not avoiding water bottles? The bike I'll mostly use it on only has two bottle cage mounts in the usual places.
I guess what I'm really asking is what's the 'best practice' (sic) for ordering a custom frame bag?

This may not work as I intend (and may also not help you either) but I've ordered a cheap one of these from eBay:
https://www.infinitecycles.com/product/minoura-sbh-300-saddle-mount-bottle-cage-holder-301196-1.htm
I'm hoping I can bend the mounts out slightly to act as a makeshift anti-sway device but also give the option of extra bottle holders if needed.
Maybe something like this could work as a light mount? -

First aid kit with long bandage for when you stop paying attention, hit a pothole and the blood starts flowing. (At least for me)

Can you bodge a bracket somewhere down by the wheel?
-
• #4192
I bought one of these, it's aluminium so bending is not really an option. It just about fits around my seatpacl (Blackburn Outpost) but I've not had an opportunity to try it with the bag full yet so I don't know if it's going to restrict the capacity or not
Edit: still think it was worth buying though, there are times when I don't take my seatpack in which case it's going to be handy for bottles as my MTB only can only fit one cage. Or if I had a full-size frame bag etc.

What light have you got? Will it not mount on the stay?
-
• #4198
I just take off my bottle cages when I'm touring, put a bladder in the frame bag. I carry more water then I would with two bottles and have more space in the frame bag then I would with a half.

exposure tracer, it will mount on the stay with some bar/pipe as the stays are thin, will give that a go
