Right watch people. Strange question- I’m a photographer and I’m looking for a few (3 minimum) watches to shoot for a personal project with a set designer on Wednesday this week. Something like this image. I have some, but thought the power of Lfgss could do better.
Would anyone who London based consider loaning me 3-5 watches for the day on wed, they would have to be in vgc and more new/luxury than vintage (need to look new). I can give you the images and you’re more than welcome to come on the shoot.
My website is colinrossphoto.com if you want to check out my work.

MONDAINE watches - can seem to see them physically would have to buy online - anyone every had one - they look nice and understated....

you've obviously never been to Switzerland :)
They're great quartz archi(tects) watches. Nomus and Junghans are of the same design but obviously have movements rather than quartz.

Good luck with the project. It's a tough ask as most people are pretty precious about their watches. I wouldn't lend my collection out for less than 3% of its value + a contract backed by your insurance company. Others may have differing opinions.

An old acquaintance once loaned his pristine Leica M4 + lenses to a colleague. Said colleague borrowed it to his son, who then wanted it to look more beat up, proceeded to take sandpaper to it.
There was a very uncomfortable conversation.

I hope the son ended up with a more beat up look after that

Got the Stendardo auto on. I had -the fear- looking at that regulator inside. Had to double check 2824’s online before trying to correct for the seconds gaining each day.
It was gaining maybe a minute. Demagnetised as best I could already a while back but still too much gain. So far so good the last 18 hours. We’ll see how it goes now.
Really want a flat non-cyclops crystal and replacement bezel insert. One day.

I want to put it on my christopher ward with a bettered strap its this model

What do i need to attach it?

About two minutes, all in.

These look like it requires a bar to be there to loop through, but my ward looks like the current strap clips in somehow

Should just be a spring bar through the leather strap like normal, no?
Nato’s loop between the bar and the watch rather than the bar going through the bit in the strap.
You’d need a tool to remove the spring bar if you want to avoid scratching your watch. Possible with a blade and careful hand. Then again you are chucking the old strap, just cut it off and leave the spring bars in place.

Ahh, youre right, thanks

If the clearance is super tight like this, you need to remove it, but on your CW just cut/slice the old strap where it is joined to itself.

I shouldnt be allowed nice things
Thought it meant "F*ck it, irrepairable timepiece" in a sort of intentional mistranslation.
