Right watch people. Strange question- I’m a photographer and I’m looking for a few (3 minimum) watches to shoot for a personal project with a set designer on Wednesday this week. Something like this image. I have some, but thought the power of Lfgss could do better.
Would anyone who London based consider loaning me 3-5 watches for the day on wed, they would have to be in vgc and more new/luxury than vintage (need to look new). I can give you the images and you’re more than welcome to come on the shoot.
My website is colinrossphoto.com if you want to check out my work.
Good luck with the project. It's a tough ask as most people are pretty precious about their watches. I wouldn't lend my collection out for less than 3% of its value + a contract backed by your insurance company. Others may have differing opinions.
An old acquaintance once loaned his pristine Leica M4 + lenses to a colleague. Said colleague borrowed it to his son, who then wanted it to look more beat up, proceeded to take sandpaper to it.
Thanks, I fully understand people’s apprehension. I work in a world where pr companies will send out products to be photographed but I guess it’s very different when it comes to personal property. That said, my reputation would be shot if something happened to the products.
