@rodabod Any chance I could take you up on offer to try and demagnetise the IWC - saw that you were swamped atm so no worries if not. Any reccos for somewhere this way to try otherwise?

Yes, of course. You can use the timegrapher at the same time to observe the effects. I’m away for a funeral in Edinburgh tomorrow, but back on Wednesday. Still in Leytonstone near the Heathcoate Arms.
