  • I’d be fucking steaming.

  • How the hell did they make those marks? Isn’t that a 2minute job with a spring bar tool? Looks like the watch even has lug holes.

  • yeah he is quite the character. cant say that i like his current ideas in hublot and zenith but you cant deny his knowledge, history and marketing strategies. a bit crazy as well but on the good kind of crazy.

    screenshot of the watch?

  • I didn’t ask him for a picture, he was losing quite a bit of money, if he’s back in tonight I’ll get one, most of the Arab guys love talking man bracelets. This was the other night...

  • Oh get fucked.

  • hah.

Does anyone want to sell me a 38mm Ch. Ward C60 for cheeps.

  • If they really are a specialist watch repairer and you trust them enough to build a relationship then get them to replace the plexiglass. It's possible that they gave this job to one of the saturday staff (everyone has to learn) or they rushed the job because you wanted a sameday turnaround. I always tell my repairers to take as much time as they need, the minute you start putting pressure on any job that requires care and attention something goes wrong.

It's worth building a relationship with someone you can rely on, so maybe give them a chance to rectify their mistake.

Btw, the new bracelet looks great. Good call, I did the same on my Rolex Oysterdate

  • Speaking of Ch Ward, the SH21 movement in it is quiet pretty.

What's people's best looking display caseback?

  • lange.. but i need a miracle to own one

  • Impressive workmanship...

  • I love the mechanicals but occasionally the aesthetics go a bit 💩 when you get to that super duper man bracelet level...

  • So so you have an example that gets you?

  • Anyone want a good priced Steinhart Ceramic Ocean One

Ebay at under £200 so far. Expect it should hit £300ish

Looks to be a good buy.

  • newest one: 'presidential'

  • Blast from the past, I had one of those at school.

  • That is utterly shocking. I’d be asking them to pay for the second repair (and they must be pretty bad too).

I’d have brushed those links to remove the marks for free for you. It doesn’t take too long.

  • @rodabod Any chance I could take you up on offer to try and demagnetise the IWC - saw that you were swamped atm so no worries if not. Any reccos for somewhere this way to try otherwise?

  • To everyone that messaged me I'll take some photos of stuff this week and post it on here + reply to pms. Sorry busy weekend. Cheers!

  • Yes, of course. You can use the timegrapher at the same time to observe the effects. I’m away for a funeral in Edinburgh tomorrow, but back on Wednesday. Still in Leytonstone near the Heathcoate Arms.

  • Amazing thanks! Sorry to hear that though. Think I have your number if not I’ll pm on weds. Cheers

  • Hamilton Thin-O-Matic

  • Romain Gauthier Insight Micro-Rotor watch

  • “Time flies” is way less to engrave
