3T bikes seem very unpopular with their Aqua Blue team. Not often riders and staff complain so much about their bikes.

Interesting as I remember the press going mad over how good they were. But then I suppose that's their job.

Here is an article from Cyclist:
http://www.cyclist.co.uk/news/4894/aqua-blue-sport-owner-publicly-criticises-teams-3t-strada-bike-for-costing-results
Team owner calls the latest failure "mechanical no 4698" .
Cyclingtips quoted a mechanic who said the bikes are too much work. Most teams use 53/39 and 11/25 or 28 and rarely change. The 3T bikes need a new chainring, new cassette and new chain every time the terrain changes. Eight rider team means sixteen drivetrain changes. Because there is no front derailleur chain drops are common.
He said for a casual cyclist they are probably okay but at ProTour level unacceptable.
Maybe Shimano needs clutches in Dura Ace. -
