So I sourced a replacement Rolex strap as my Tudor came on a generic bracelet that was very narrow at the clasp - I dropped it off at the local watch place and went to get a coffee... this is what I was handed back

How the hell did they make those marks? Isn’t that a 2minute job with a spring bar tool? Looks like the watch even has lug holes.
That is utterly shocking. I’d be asking them to pay for the second repair (and they must be pretty bad too).
I’d have brushed those links to remove the marks for free for you. It doesn’t take too long.
