I guess that's why Paul does small batch limited edition colourways as well.
Next semester of engineering school I'm probably going to go in depth with anodizing as an elective subject. Even though the process is electro/chemical the unpredictability almost makes it feel organic in a way. Really interesting stuff.
CK stuff only matches if it was anodised in the same batch. Shades will vary from batch to batch with any coloured anodising process. There are so many variables involved, even the slightest difference in temparature etc can result in a variation in colour.
Even a slight variation in the make up of the alloy itself will result in a different shade when finished.
