Does this mean they'd be crap to attach a wald basket to?
-
• #928
if they're 25.4 bars you could probably manage it, there's enough give in the rubber shims
-
• #929
Yeah I noticed that they don't seem to have a horizontal surface. I'm trying to convert an old rockhopper into a shopper, but need to do something about the looooooong reach.
Any other bars I should consider?

Raleigh North Rounder are good. Or plenty of options from Humpert/Ergotec
-
• #931
or something Nitto from Planet X
-
• #932
nitto is £££ but humpert seems to have lots of options, almost too much! cheers.

Cool bike. Is that near the Toronto Stock Yards?
-
• #937
Yep, well spotted! Just at the bottom of the stockyards near the fabric shop.

How're those vans tyres?
-
• #939
They roll pretty well but everything does when you're replacing some old knobblies. They blow up pretty wide so I'm going to have to find some mudguards that fit but overall I'm happy with them and the way they look which was the most important aspect!

I might give them a try then, thanks!

Made some progress tonight, fitted front guard and dynamo light. Rear guard and light to fit this weekend.

Looks great. Always wanted a set of magura racelines so I'll be scouring ebay/retrobike to try and find a set now. Need a set of those Nitto bars too.
-
• #945
I'd had them hanging around for about 3 years. Nice to get them used again.

There's a pair of the hi-vis yellow version for sale near me, could maybe post them on to you if you like? Will check the price...
-
• #947
They're also really cheap from the German bike websites. Less than £100 a set new

• #948
Are you on 'staycation'?
-
• #949
No.

More importantly, near the Rainhard Brewery!
Just needs a front rack.
