• After some weird bits:

    • 32/32h 100/135mm 11-speed disc hubs. Need two sets actually.
    • w i d e ultra-cheap 700c rim brake front wheel. Like for 2" tyres. Or just a rim.
    • 36h 700c rim. <500g if possible but the're not going to be performance wheels so don't care that much. Brake track not needed but anything considered.
    • Interested in any 26" dynamo wheels out there (that are cheaper/better value than the Decathlon offering). Or cheap dynamo hubs.

    Done or no longer required:

    • - Cheap long drop caliper brakes. Needs 70mm drop on the rear at least. Something like Tektro R559.
    • Single-speed coaster hub/wheel. 700c or 650b.
    • cheap/lightly-used 42t narrow-wide chainring, 110mm BCD, 5-bolt. Black or silver. Hoping to get something cheaper or at least quicker than one from China.
    • cheap (not X0 basically, unless you're feeling kind) SRAM Exact Actuation 10-speed clutch mech. Long cage preferred. GX Type 2.1 would be perfect. Can't be one of the 1× ones as I need it to work with a double.
    • GXP triple crankset for road, ideally something like the Truvativ Elita. 172.5 or 175mm crank arms.
    • 46t 130BCD chainring. For a double chainset so needs shifting pins or whatever.
    • Flared bars, black. 31.8mm clamp. Something like Alpkit Bomber
    • 26" × 2" mudguards. Don't care what they look like.

Everything needs posting up to Edinburgh.

    Thanks!

  • Updated, give me a shout if you can help with anything!

  • Hi, I have a Truvativ Elita 172.5 with a wide selection of rings. I also have a Shimano triple and bottom brackets for both. PM me for contact details.

  • I may be sorted now... but are the Truvativ cranks for a triple? What BCD?

  • Yes both are triples. The chainrings are standard Shimano road size for the outer and middle and the inner is a smaller BCD. I'll check in about 30 minutes and let you know exactly. As I said I've large choice of rings to pick from. All good condition.

  • 130mm BCD for the outer and middle, looks like 74mm for the inner but I couldn't measure it properly without disassembling it.

  • That'd do the job. Do you have a picture? And the Truvativ cranks are for GXP, yes? I need it to match the BB that's already in the bike as I'll be swapping cranks from time to time.

Regarding rings I'm after a 46/48t outer (and a 30/32t inner) but I appreciate those might be hard to come by. Some of those Truvativs came with a 30t inner so if you've got one of them that'd be great.

  • I'll get it in the morning and check what rings I've got. Sure I can dig out that kind of ratios if you don't mind different rings. I'll pm you in the morning (10.00ish)

  • Lovely. I'll be off-grid in the Highlands Saturday afternoon-ish - Sunday so if you don't get a response that'll be why!

Edit: wait, just realised it's Thursday not Friday, so I'll be on the internet tomorrow. Am trying to coordinate the sale of some other parts, a camping trip and a gig at the same time and getting mixed up!

  • Sorry - yes its GPX and I've got the spacing rings for the BB if you need them.

  • OK

  • Hi Frankenbike, Sent PM

  • Updated again! Coaster hub and mudguards also wanted.

  • Updated once again. So far this thread has only netted me some cranks but I guess I like weird parts!

(thanks to @wingnuts for the cranks, should have them soon)

Those rims are good for the money and the seller has loads of options in 36h

I bought bulk from him before so would recommend

  • Ooh, nice, thanks! I swear I looked through all the cheap eBay rims (they're mostly 700g each) but I must have missed these. 13mm width is a bit annoying as I would have really liked to go all the way up to 35mm... can't beat the price though. Think I'll hold off for a little bit longer and see if I can get something wider, otherwise I'll probably go for those

  • Any interest in a 700c Mavic wheel wheel built up with a hub brake? I realise you wanted the hub sperately but if you were going to build up a nice 700c wheel using it...

  • Is it front or rear? I've got a coaster hub that I want to build up for a rear wheel but may be after something for the front

  • It's a front.

  • Okay. I've been talking to someone else about a hub, will give them another prod and get back to you

  • Righto
