Heartbroken... My Opera Opera crystal frames have just bitten the dust... Nothing dramatic, I went to take them off and the right arm came away from the hinge... Ugh...
Wearing my spares for the first time in the seven years that I've had them... I really don't like them, even tho' they're almost identical...
Crestfallen... 😐

Ray of hope, just found a place nearby that does repairs... It's just a hinge so fingers crossed, they're still in fabulous nick, really great quality...

Mine are an absolute state. Mint until a year or so again when my son started being able to grab things. He rips them off my head and either chews them or stares at me placidly while he tries to break them apart. Lenses are scratched beyond belief and they're all wonky. Real shame as they were so nice. Toying with some Kirk & Kirk for the next pair but about to move so trying to save some money.

Bloody kids... I'm still recovering from an emergency Europe trip and a dead laptop in the last ten weeks, couldn't have come at a worse time... Really hoping these people can save them, not just for monetary reasons but because I love them so much... I just can't afford another pair of hand made Italian frames, I'm obvs not working hard enough... 😒

Spares in the middle, very square across the bridge so not comfortable... The NHS sunnies have yellowed quite a bit in seven years, surprising... Urine coloured paedo specs...

Might be up for this. Have a pair of Clubmaster black that my missus never wears. She’s always nicking my Black Meteors. Will check size tonight.

@>>>>>>
I like the spares man. Girlie sunglasses FTW. Maybe you could re-shape the bridge a bit. Dremmel?

Not that different really... @Fatberg Crazy talk!!
Sent the broken ones up to a place in Cairns where they'll replace both hinges and send it back express post for under fifty quid... Amazing looking repairs, mine looks super straightforward compared to a lot on the website... Fingers crossed...

Cool beans. Let me know as I'm probably going to have the arms heat bent otherwise.

• #638
They look great. I am dissapoint.

• #639
Where'd you get this done? Got a few pairs of sunglasses that need conforming to my bean head.

They were from the secret cool spectacle shop... #ifyouknow

I was only informed yesterday that you can get this done at many opticians and places like Boots. Although I haven't actually investigated it yet.

Checked out their website yesterday, seem like a good bunch. Got to love 'by appointment only'.

• #643
Nah, not that place... The super duper secret spectacle shop... Opera Opera are cheaper now than when I bought my frames eight years ago, can't see mine in there tho'... I paid £300 for mine...

You are definitely somewhat putrid.
SWAP: Ray-Ban Clubmaster Black 51-21 for 49-21.
Basically I have a pair of the wide Clubmaster in Black that I'd like to swap for narrows.
They are in A++ condition.
I don't mind if they're black or Tortoise.
Anyone?
