125 hours of cycling and 11 hours sleep
-
• #103
Christ, that's ridiculous.
-
• #104
I reckon I could manage that...
-
• #105
The 11 hours of sleep bit at least.

Does anyone know when the finishers party is? I can't see anything on the official site.

Sat in a restaurant trying to do the math on whether I can manage a completion before I have to go home. Its very tight. Best I can do is push on and see how the hills pan out.
Cp2 to Galway was very fast and flat.

Its very tight.
Best crack on then, eh?

If you complete it, I'll buy you a pickled egg.

You can do it! We're all cheering you on from afar!

@nick.earthloop currently 29 th with 308km to go.
Wonder if he'll ride through the night to finish or stop for a sleep?
Only 16 officially scratched so far. -

Might be a lot more by tonight. 40+mph winds between 11pm and 12 midday tomorrow.

Be interesting to see you two battle it out on this next year. Both fresh.

I'm back up north on Achill Island focusing on the backmarkers after spending yesterday at the finish line- weather up here has definitely turned and it's absolutely brutal
-
• #118
40mph winds and rain as well?
-
• #119
Weather has turned really nasty alright. I'm in Cork for work and the trim strips on both sides of my windscreen blew off on the motorway such was the headwind. Wouldn't fancy pedalling into it.

Will you see nick spencer? Say hello! He’s a mate.

Made it to Tralee, just.
About three hours of feeling like you're crossing the Severn Bridge in a high crosswind. One long section of pan flat road and staying above 12k/h was a struggle. Shoulders absolutely destroyed.

Great work.

• #123
Top effort!

Storm Hector is still hectoring me around the Dingle peninsula. Hoping to gain the upper hand at the turnaround.
Shoulders still mangled and knee kicking off now. Not suffering from Aussie Gooch yet, which is nice.

Nice to see a talbot on the TAW :)
At the finish with Bjorn now, he's in good spirits and drinking a lot of milk
