TBF I often only get the start sheet on the week of a race. Not had an official email yet so maybe they are just adding bits to ctt site as a when they are ready.

Only mildly annoying. I'm not ready to go the full Hippy yet.

No-one expects teh Full Hippy...
-
• #18106
To be fair, hippy is mostly rather full (food/beer, delete as appropriate--oh, OK, don't delete anything, then).

I still have no clue were to book a hotel. I call in the morning and I'll sleep in my car if I have too.

Anywhere near Bentley will be good. It’s very close to the start and worst case, you drive to hq, sign on and then set offfrom the hotel.

You should really be riding there with your sprints on wheel carriers and sleep in a hedge...

sleep in a hedge...
We're not savages, sleep in a chicken shed.
@cycleclinic Anywhere between Farnham and Alton is going to be close enough for your hotel

Does anyone want a rear wheel with Powertap Pro hub (Ant+) and ('lightweight') Raltec covers for £250 posted?
Will be replacing NDS bearing in the hub soon, rim (Mavic Open Sport) probably has another season or 2 of use in it an disc has a couple of spots of wear to the edges.

That's a good price.
I've come here to sell as well - anyone need a pointy hat? I've got a Bell Javelin (medium) for £50 if anyone is interested before the Facebook page/TTF/EBay. Used for one season.

So, an update on My Windsock.
The site isn't very user friendly, does take a while working out how to navigate around. But if you are going to test, it is actually better to do loops on the same activity, even if you are making changes to set up, position, etc. You can pinpoint certain parts of the ride to establish your CdA. It is also advisable to upload to Strava, keep the activity public, and let the data upload to My Windsock. If you make the activity private it doesn't upload, and if you manually upload the ride, it takes the weather from the date and time you uploaded it rather than from the time of the ride itself, although I spoke to Ben and he is going to look into this.
What I also learnt is never, ever go out and do aero testing with your race wheels, unless you are made of money and have tubs maturing in your cellar, plus also have some way of being able to limp home should you puncture. I must have run over an extremely sharp object at the furthest point from my house, made a cut in the tub of at least 8mm in length, instant flat. Cue a 2 1/2 mile walk in barefeet as I didn't want to ruin either my cleats or my NoPinz speedsocks.

From my ride on P881/25 10 days ago, it established my CdA as 0.177, although that figure is obviously lower than reality due to traffic.

How's the drinking going?
We'd never hear the end of it. To make up for his absence, I've emailed the organiser pointing out the deficiencies in the start sheet in an annoyingly sarcastic tone.
