Yeah, it was on the show window before I nab it last week to be my everyday commuter.

I need the extended, long legs, and the pentaclip also gives me a bit extra to make it fit just right..
Jtek 580mm is 323g
Ti parts 600mm is 289g
Even with the pentaclip think the ti parts comes in at about the same weight, whilst still being lighter than the stock one.. -
• #79
The pentaclip is 109 grams, making the TPW 75 grams heavier, and not as slick with the Jtek clamping system looking lovely!
-
• #80
There’s got to be a titanium pentaclip to shave that weight down?
-
• #81
not seen one to date, only the plates ( in alu) to use carbon rails, or the bolt in ti - https://www.sjscycles.co.uk/saddles/ti-parts-workshop-saddle-clamp-titanium-bolt/

So minor updates, finally brought some finish line sealant for the daily workhorse, but anyone know they go into the inner tube? Unless I’ve got the wrong valve for the Brompton inner tube? @maynardeames

you need valves with removable valve cores, I think I mentioned upthread.
those tubes do not have removable valve cores, so no dice -
• #84
Shrader valves do have removable cores - just need the right tool to extract it.

• #85
oh, yeah! cool, thanks for the info

Hacksaw a slot into an M5 bolt if you need a makeshift core tool...

Can also use metal tweezers.
-

aye, just need to twiddle the core out, and make sure it goes back in snug, but not too tight to twist/rip the tube!
-
• #90
Nice one, noted.

Why on earth would anyone put tubeless sealant in an inner tube? This makes no sense?
-
• #92
To seal punctures?
-
• #93
I do this to all my beaters.
-
• #94
Why use tubes at all though then? Just make your tubeless tube-less.
-
• #95
Because what tubeless tyres/rims are available for bromptons?
-
• #96
Because on many bikes a tubeless set up is not possible, or you dont want to spend the cash. it makes perfect sense.
-
• #97
When are we doing Brompton laps then?

New category of Richmond 3 lap challenge?

Does sealant in 700c inner tubes work well? I'm reading conflicting things on other sites, so it's hard to get any information on it.
@amey would probably agree to this
