Cheers dude, I should stop second guessing myself and get on with ordering it then see what calipers I can get a good deal on when the frame is a bit closer to reality. I do find the Avids just so damn ugly...

Which used be my fav brakes and the reason I got into cross bikes really. I used to have an Empella Bonfire with blue Frogglegs. I might just buy these and try to put some better cartridge pads on there to make them contemporary.

Well I have had them work better before. But I don't use this for much off road so I don't mind them braking a bit slower.
Avid Shorty ultimate might be good for you?
